Renault has officially taken the wraps off the next-generation Duster, a mid-size SUV set to make its India debut in 2025. This revamped model boasts a host of upgrades, promising a fresh and modern appeal for SUV enthusiasts.

Revamped Exterior

Renault Duster Unveiled Globally, Heading to India Soon The exterior of the new Duster, whether badged as Renault or Dacia, showcases a rugged yet stylish design. With a muscular and upright bonnet adorned with ridges, Y-shaped LED DRLs, and revised front and rear profiles, the SUV exudes a robust aura. Notable features include chunky wheel arches, functional roof rails, pillar-mounted rear door handles, an extended roof spoiler, and aggressive front and rear bumpers.

Interior

Inside the cabin, the Duster undergoes a significant transformation from its predecessor. The dashboard boasts a prominent 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree surround camera, an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite, Y-shaped aircon vents, an all-digital instrument cluster, and a redesigned steering wheel. The center console gets a makeover with a new gear selector dial, complemented by fresh seat upholstery.

Powerful Performance

Internationally, the new Duster offers a range of engine options, including a 1.6-litre petrol-hybrid, 1.2-litre petrol-hybrid, and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol with LPG compatibility for select markets. However, the India-spec model is expected to feature the 1.6-litre and 1.2-litre petrol-hybrid options, providing a blend of power and efficiency.

Market Competition

Upon its arrival, the Renault Duster will enter a fiercely competitive segment, challenging popular models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Citroen C3 Aircross, and MG Astor. The new Duster aims to stand out with its refreshed design, advanced features, and hybrid powertrain options.
