Americable Japan Selects OpenVault PNM for Military Base Broadband Network

Yokosuka, Japan, and Jersey City, NJ, USA – Americable Japan International and OpenVault have entered into a multi-year agreement to deploy OpenVault’s Proactive Network Maintenance (PNM) solutions across broadband systems serving U.S. military bases in Japan.

Americable will leverage OpenVault’s OV PNM solution along with advanced mobile diagnostic tools to meet key operational goals, including preventing service disruptions, accelerating network issue resolution, and reducing costly truck rolls and mean time to repair (MTTR).

Advanced Network Analytics

Part of OpenVault’s AI- and ML-driven Vantage platform, OV PNM uses sophisticated algorithms, machine learning, and advanced DOCSIS analysis techniques—such as pre-equalization, DOCSIS 3.1 RxMER per subcarrier analysis, upstream spectrum analysis using UTSC (upstream triggered spectrum capture), and full band capture (FBC)—to deliver unmatched visibility into broadband infrastructure. This enables:

• Early detection of network noise, low MER, and other impairments.
• Quicker root-cause analysis through mobile spectrum analysis and geolocation.
• Reduction in repeat service calls by resolving core plant issues.
• Centralized management with localized views for regional teams.

OV PNM also includes a “cable modem birth certificate” to ensure customers receive peak-performing service, enhancing satisfaction and reliability.
