WholeClear 11.0 Offline Email Conversion – Fully Local While Adding Secure OAuth for Cloud Transfers

WholeClear recently confirmed that version 11.0 of its email migration and conversion software processes all offline file conversions locally on the user’s device, while cloud connected features authenticate through OAuth or app passwords in place of storing account credentials. This distinction addresses a question the company says comes up often: which parts of the software actually touch the internet, and which don’t. Converting a local PST, OST, EML, MSG, or MBOX file into another format, including PDF, HTML or TXT happens completely offline.

No data leaves the machine during the process. Features that move mail to or from hosted accounts, such as Microsoft 365, Gmail, Yahoo, or IMAP servers do need a connection and those connections depend on OAuth or app–password authentication instead of asking users to hand over account passwords directly. “A lot of people assume that any migration tool automatically sends their data somewhere else and that’s just not true for every feature,” said a WholeClear product representative.

“Someone converting an old OST file to open in Outlook again isn’t touching the cloud at all. We wanted that to be obvious instead of something people have to find out spending unnecessary time.”

WholeClear 11.0 Offline Email Conversion Preserves Data and Formatting

The offline conversion tools keep formatting, inline images and attachments during the export process and support folder level filtering so users can convert any single mail rather than a complete archive at once. On the cloud side, migration and transfer features use the same authentication standards as the mail providers themselves which means WholeClear does not independently store account credentials for connected services. WholeClear 11.0 is available for Windows and Mac in 19 interface languages, with a free trial covering up to 25 items and no credit card required.

About WholeClear

Founded to simplify the technical side of switching email systems, WholeClear has spent years building tools that handle the unglamorous mechanics of moving mailboxes, file format mismatches, corrupted archives, oversized PSTs so users don’t have to learn the underlying file structures themselves. The company’s software runs on both Windows and Mac and is used across more than 160 countries, spanning individual professionals cleaning up old archives to IT teams handling bulk account transitions.
