There is one such issue that causes the same problem is the ‘Infant Mortality Rate’. Mortality rate in simple words is the likelihood that a child born in a certain year or period will pass away before turning one, given the prevailing age-specific mortality rates of the time.

According to Sanjeev Mansotra, infant mortality in Africa is caused by various factors such as low level of maternal education and inequalities in access to healthcare and the increase in this rate is alarming for the nation as a rise in the rate of infant mortality cause disbalance in the birth and death rate and it is not a good sign for any nation.

Infant Mortality Rate In Africa:

Africa’s infant mortality rate is currently 41.586 per 1000 live births in 2023, a decrease of 2.75% from 2022. In Africa, the mortality rate in 2022 was 42.760 per 1000 live births, a decrease of 2.67% from 2021. Since there is a decrease in the rate of mortality rate of Africa it is at a meagre rate and is negligible. It must be reduced and stopped to maintain a balance in the birth and death of human resources, ensuring the overall development of the nation about the development of the human resource. Sanjeev Gandhavraj Mansotra considers the mortality rate as an injustice towards a child who has not even seen the world and such things should not be promoted, which in a way is an injustice to the nation as well.

Promote The Equality:

The government in collaboration with international NGOs and other bodies must address this issue in Africa and promote the equality of both genders and should run awareness campaigns to remove the stereotypes of view against the girl child.   Infant mortality is anticipated to be considerably decreased by increasing access to, and the effectiveness of, competent treatment, particularly emergency obstetric care, crucial newborn care, and management of preterm, low birth weight, and infection in the immediate postpartum period.

The government of Africa must invest in healthcare, education skills, and development programs to enhance human resources, as this will automatically reduce the infant mortality rate and promote equality.   Sanjeev Mansotra’s core education has been effortlessly and seamlessly working towards the betterment of people and has been addressing the issue of the mortality rate in Africa and believes that every child in this world has the right to take breath and live his or her life.

About Infant Mortality Rate:

Thus, killing infants in the mother’s womb or a child dying before turning one is not a solution but removing stereotypical mindsets towards infants, especially a girl child is a solution that must be developed among the people. Thus, the government must invest significantly in health, education, and skills programs and must run awareness campaigns in the downtrodden areas to make a difference in eradicating the infant mortality rate.
